December 30, 1997

December 20, 1997
The Pittsburgh and Rochester dates have been cancelled due
to a promoter pulling out, so the band is now back at home
in time for the Christmas holidays.
If you're looking for some more gifts for yourself at Christmas
you can order an import single from Australia that has two
versions of "Sick & Beautiful," a radio edit and the "quick
fix" mix. It also has an older song from the Sal's Birdland
days called "My Heaven." You can order it online from CD

December 19, 1997
The band had a rocking set last night at Peabody's
Downunder in the Cleveland Flats last night, they're
off to Pittsburgh tonight at Club Laga and then Rochester
at Milestone's before going back home to Ottawa for Christmas.
December 17, 1997
The Chicago date for AJC has been cancelled, so the band
will not be playing in Chicago tonight. Hopefully they'll
be back there in the future.
All the rest of the dates are still happening so make sure
you come out to the shows. The band is off to Cleveland today
for the show tomorrow night at Peabody's
Downunder.
December 14, 1997
The band played in London, Ontario last night to a great
crowd at the Embassy, then they're off for two days in London
and off to the states for some shows.
The Toronto show at Lee's Palace also had a great audience
who brought food for the Daily Bread food bank, with special
guests Superhalo
and Blanche.
December 12, 1997
The band is off to Toronto today after shows in Kitchener
and Montreal.
The show in Toronto at Lee's Palace is a benefit for the
Daily Bread food bank, all you have to do is bring some non-perishable
food and you get in free, with special guests Superhalo.

December 10, 1997
It's Michael's birthday today, he started partying last
night at the show in Ottawa.
The homecoming AJC show at Barrymore's
in Ottawa last night was great, and the band was tight, they
said it was great to start playing again after being off for
two months. Thanks to 106.9FM
The Bear for sponsoring the show.
The band is off to Montreal today for a show with the Matthew
Good Band, they will be doing a taped interview for
Musique Plus
and a live interview on CHOM FM.
December 8, 1997
AJC starts their December tour tomorrow in Ottawa, the first
time they've played in their hometown for almost 11 months.
Then off to Montreal, where they will be stopping at Musique
Plus at 3:30pm for an interview on Wednesday December
10th.
The December 1997 issue of Canadian
Musician magazine has a review of melt.
Writer John Albani states that Artificial Joy Club's
frustration seems to have resulted in another one of this
year's top albums you will have to consider.

AJC will be rehearsing this week for their tour that brings
them to southern Ontario and the north-eastern U.S. If you
haven't checked the dates yet they are on the tour
dates page.
